In the late 1950s and early 1960s only German model railways material was available on the market in Norway. In acknowledgement of the situation the Norwegian T. Mellin-Olsen created his own country named Fjelland. The idea was to accommodate own ideas to the possibilities on the model railway marked. In the early 1980 we adapted the idea and developed the country.
Descriptions of the geography, the industry and manufacture in different part of the country were made to have a common reference. The main railway network is also described and is used to tie our model railways together in a common transport system with a realistic timetable.
